If you’re looking to boost your creativity this December and kick off 2025 with a plethora of ideas, sign up to receive our free Filmmaker’s Advent Calendar! This digital “advent calendar” is our gift to our filmmaking community this holiday season, with 24 days of quick prompts and mini activities to keep the creative juices flowing. Whether you’re a writer who wants to generate new concepts, a director looking to get excited about the next project, a cinematographer seeking visual inspo, a composer wanting to shake things up, a production or costume designer searching for new ideas, or an actor who’s hoping to break up the audition slog with creative fun, this is for you! Each day from Dec. 1 to 24, 2024, you’ll find a new message via our website. We might suggest a brief activity, provide a short prompt, or send an inspirational note. Expect to spend 15 minutes or less per day on these bite-sized prompts — just enough to spark some ideas! Of course, if you get wrapped up in the activities, even better; feel free to dive in. If you’re looking for accountability in your creative journey, you’ll be able to check off each day as you complete the activity.
