Jasmine Russ, Vice President of Development and Production at Fabel Entertainment, will share an in-depth look at how writers, agents/managers, production companies, and studios work together to bring a TV series from page to screen.
Then, we’ll talk through three case studies of real TV shows developed by Fabel Entertainment.
The event will end with an audience Q&A where Jasmine will answer our community’s questions about the process!
We’ll cover:
What the next steps are when you have a finished pilot script
How writers secure pitches with production companies
What an agent and manager does in the process
What it means for a project to be in development
How a production company pitches projects to buyers
What happens if a studio or network is interested in a pilot
What kind of notes writers can expect from the buyer
What does the production company do, versus the studio? What about the network or streamer?
How a show makes it onto the screen
At what point in the process a writer can expect to get paid
And more!
